The Cornish Rex is a slender, fine-boned cat breed that began with a single curly-coated kitten born on a Cornish farm in 1950. It has no guard hairs at all, only a soft undercoat that lies in tight, even ripples known as a marcel wave, and it carries an arched back, long legs and very large ears set high on a narrow head.
