The plains zebra (Equus quagga) is the most widespread of the three zebra species, found in grassland and open woodland across eastern and southern Africa. It is built like a stocky pony, with an upright bristle mane, a tufted tail and a striping pattern that runs broad over the shoulders and narrows toward the hooves. Many individuals also show faint tan shadow stripes between the black bands on the hindquarters, which is the easiest way to tell this species from the mountain and Grevy's zebras. Every model on this page is a static, unrigged mesh carrying a full colour texture and supplied in OBJ, STL, FBX, BLEND and GLB, which makes them straightforward to drop into savanna scenes in games, wildlife shots in VFX and architectural renders, or a print queue.
